Creative workshops and family visits
The Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain is offering visits organized for children and theirs parents, as well as creative workshops especially designed for children between the ages of 7 and 12, enable them to discover the Fondation Cartier and the works exhibited there.

Family visits
Saturdays at 3 p.m., June 22, 29; July 6, 20, 27; August 10, 24; September 7, 14, 21
Age 7 and up. Duration: 1h30
During these family visits, children and their parents take part in a fun-filled visit of the exhibition accompanied by a cultural mediator. After taking the time to discover all the sculptures in detail, families can continue their visit at their own pace.
Visits of the garden
Wednesdays, June 12 and July 31
Age 7 and up. Duration: 1h
During the summer, children can also discover the garden of the Fondation Cartier and its many secrets, thanks to guided tours organized with the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle, Paris.

Paper Toy
Creative workshop with Émilie Lapeyre, illustrator
Wednesdays, April 24, June 5 and September 11
Age 7 and up. Duration: 2h.
Inspired by Ron Mueck’s sculptures, children can create color illustrations and assemble an original paper toy: strange three-dimensional characters in paper take shape in the children’s hands.
Sculpture Duo
Sculpture workshop with Fiona Durvie, mixed media artist
Wednesdays, May 15, June 26 and July 10
Age 7 and up. Duration: 2h.
After discovering the new Ron Mueck sculptures, the children are invited to model their own pairs of characters in black and white clay, playing with the notion of scale that is observed in the artist’s work.
Fascinating puppets
Sculpture workshop with Elsa Maurios, mixed media artist
Wednesdays, July 17 and September 25
Age 7 and up. Duration: 2h.
A chance for children to model and assemble a clay figure with articulated joints and precise details of facial expressions, body parts and posture. The puppet is then installed in a small setting.
Fables and legends
Fables and legends workshop with Didier Galas, actor
Wednesdays, June 19, July 24 and September 18
Age 7 and up. Duration: 1h.
Inspired by fables and legends, actor Didier Galas guides children into the disturbing and fascinating world of Ron Mueck. Together, they attempt to penetrate the mystery of these sculptures by imagining their emotions and thoughts.
Body tableaux
Photo-montage workshop with Alice & Maxime – Morse, graphics artists
Wednesdays, July 3 and September 4
Age 7 and up. Duration: 2h.
In the garden of the Fondation Cartier, children work as a group to create scenes to compose one or several photographic tableaux while playing with unconventional notions of perspective and scale.
