Art Basel Miami Beach 2008
As an Associate Sponsor of Art Basel Miami, Cartier was thrilled to announce for that 2008 edition, an extraordinary project taking place during the Fair within Cartier Dome, located in the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens.
Cartier unveiled Diamonds, Gold and Dreams, a creation by renowned filmmaker and artist David Lynch. Serving as an inspiring and artistic setting for visitors, this environment was seen by the public for the first time, reflecting the sensual and dreamy yet dark mood of David Lynch.
Art Basel Miami Beach 2007
For its first appearance at the Art Basel Miami Beach, the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain gave Jean Nouvel carte blanche for the design of its exhibit space. The architect designed an entirely transparent area, echoing the building commissioned by Cartier for its foundation in Paris. The restrained and poetic style is reminiscent of the building in its Parisian environment and exhibits the projects presented over there using large-scale pictures. Short films, pictures, books and exhibition catalogues beckon the visitor to find out more about the history of the Fondation Cartier.
