Crystal Palace reveals a wondrous universe that is both fragile and monumental. With a four-poster bed made of Murano glass, or necklaces made of baroque pearls, Jean-Michel Othoniel’s work invites spectators to dream.
Crystal Palace has been designed to echo the glass walls of the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain. The works, created exclusively for this exhibition, play with the transparency of the building’s architecture and its reflections. They are displayed throughout the garden and hang from trees, inviting visitors to stroll around the grounds.
